My Approach
You might be wondering, “Can I share openly with a person I don’t know?” This is why building trust is at the core of my practice because I recognize how tough it can be to start something new. Together, we create a non-judgemental space so you can feel safe sharing your hopes, joys, fears and sorrows (and everything in-between).
My focus is to support who you are, not what you “should” be. While exploring your past is important, we also focus on the present experience to reduce feelings of stress and anxiety, which can lead to greater self-compassion. I believe you know yourself better than anyone and I honour that by being an active facilitator in supporting you through your process of healing.
I use various methods and creative approaches to help support the therapeutic process. Based on your wants and needs, this may include:
Expressive Art
Embodied Movement
Somatic Experiencing
Mindfulness techniques
Breathing techniques
Dream work
Voice work
